All of the staff here are lovely and helpful apart from the younger lady with the long red wavy hair who is rude, abrupt and has a huge chip on her shoulder and needs to obtain some customer service skills asap.

So setting the scene, I rushed from work with a Friday feeling spring in my step to hopefully make this post office before it closed at 5.30. Remember that piece of information. I parked up and ran in the direction of said post office to collect a present for my daughter for her birthday I obtained from the site Vinted. Phew I thought as I glanced at my watch to see 5.28pm as I was fast approaching those red jolly doors of my post office final frontier. Upon edging closer to my door or destiny, my post office portal if you will, to my disbelief the doors looked very shut. This can’t be right I thought, it’s not 5.30.
To my horror they had shut 2 minutes before the stated closing time plastered all over google like graffiti on a train tunnel wall.
I was in disbelief and had rushed specially to collect a package for my daughter which she has now been denied by the staff here closing during working hours. Is this supposed to be the Royal Mail? More like the Pauper Mail.
Do you close your post boxes early too?
Really disappointed and I had to have a very disappointing walk back to my courtesy car stamping my feet in distress.
I don’t usually feel the need to write negative reviews like this but on this occasion I really had to letter you know and post this.
Yes it’s Friday but stay open during the stated times.
Lazy, corner cutters. If you want to make the post office during the week I’d advise getting there at 3pm and there’s a 12% chance they will be open.

I agree with all the other comments about the queues - the queues are definitely excessive. It goes out the door. The queueing at Westbourne Post Office is inefficient for elderly and disabled residents. I think maybe this Post Office should have closed down last year as no other Bournemouth Post Office has this constant problem. A couple of Sub-Post Offices located inside private businesses like convenience stores would be better.
