Excellent staff, no problems at all. They close for lunch as they only allow one on at a time in most cases (no fault of their own)
I always use this Post Office with absolute ease

States on the website the opening hours. Does NOT a state is close's for lunch. We are short on post offices now, but having drove the miles, only to find it was closed is pretty bad. I dread to think of the elderly having to walk there or those having to get a taxi and it is CLOSED! Why do they not just state this on the website. It is NOT rocket science.

I rarely post parcels but had to return some equipment to a well known cable provider. I am recovering from surgery, and it was super hot. The person in front had a complex transaction and I waited patiently, and when the gentleman apologised I said it was no problem at all. When Bernie had finally got to grips with the postal procedure for this guy it was my turn. I asked if I could post this parcel here. For some reason this caused Bernie to eye roll at me, like I was being difficult. I asked if it was free post and she snarkily asked me to go to the end till. I obliged and put the parcel down. I hadn't realised I had not taken a label off to reveal the postage address and this was pointed out to me most rudely. I said I am so sorry, it was a mistake. Another eye roll was directed at me, Bernie then said, 'You can should this by yodel' i advised i hadnt realised that and as i had walked a long way here, I would rather just pay the £4.29 postage. It was then Bernie barked in a very aggressive tone 'I was only trying to help I said I want being rude, I've had a house fire and recovering from surgery it is just easier for to post it, sorry for any inconvenience'. She then said it again in a raised voice. I didn't respond, paid for the parcel said thank you. She snubbed me and gave me, what I can only describe as, an attempted dirty look and a sneer. I thought she was having a small stroke at first then realised it was just her personality shining through. Avoid this postoffice when Bernie working, it's far too much of an inconvenience for her to be polite. Whereas the post office in town, the staff are so helpful anf go above and beyond to assist. I appreciate we do not know what others are dealing with but that sentiment goes both ways. What a rude post office representative.
