The staff clearly don't want to work here and it shows. A never-ending queue of utter misery. Most of the furnishings haven't been updated since the 90s.

This is situated inside what was WHSmith, now TJ Hughes. It has the usual array of Post office counter services including National Lottery . Up stairs it has a travel section which is able to supply most worldwide currencies and competive prices. Just be aware that the post office service keep normal post office hours, so even though TJ Hughes shop is open, the post office doesn't open until 0900.

I went here to send an Evri parcel and found that this specific post office doesn’t send Evri. Which is understandable! However the lady who served me was just rude, there were no other customers, and I politely asked if they sent Evri and she just says “nope”. Then after a moment of me staring at her she says “you’ll have to go somewhere else” and couldn’t tell me where. Lack of customer service and outdated post office. Have had positive experiences before but some staff are just rude.

Went today with my sister and there was this one employee (overweight, long hair in a ponytail) that was not even working for the post office, he was in fact working for WHSmith. He told us, almost urging us not to go upstairs to the post office because it was closed (when the PO closes at 17:30) we got there at 17:11.
His reason was because « there are too many people upstairs and by the time it’s 5:30, they wouldn’t be able to attend to us because it takes around 5 minutes per client. » He was insisting for us to not go like his life was depending on it and pretty much raised his voice at us which made us really uncomfortable. We obviously didn’t listen to him and went upstairs and it was almost empty only 1 guest in front of us. So to everyone reading this if an employee urges you not to go to the post office because « it’s closed » he is lying or is trying to clock out on time.
