Absolutely shocking staff, lazy and unhelpful. Been to several post offices but none as poor as this. I do not recommend, you’ll queue for 15 minutes then have minimal help & staff who don’t really care.

CAUTION !!!!
DO NOT LET THE STAFF BULLY YOU INTO USING SPECIAL DELIVERY !!!!
Very rude & aggressive female member of staff denying that "24hr Tracked Un-Signed For" is a service from Royal Mail.
This Service would of cost £3.95, but bullied my co worker into "Special Delivery" at a cost of £9.95 !!!
One of two things has happened here....... your staff are deliberately abusing position of power to upsell or do not understand the products they are selling.
£6 over charged with Rude Service

3 stars to THIS Derby post office in general.
I dread having to visit here as in the past I've had most visits where I have never received any help I needed/ requested and have ended up leaving in tears.
The staff always seem to be unhelpful and rude.
I had family who used to work for P.O back in the day and they would of never treated people the way that people are treated now.
Post office has really gone under.
However.
5 stars to a member of the team called Ruth.
I came in March 5th and she was absolutely wonderful. Very kind. Patient and so helpful.
I left happy.
Excellent customer service.
Thank you so much Ruth. 💜

I had a very disappointing experience at this branch. The staff and manager were both rude and appeared poorly informed about the DBS document requirements. I was incorrectly advised that my ID could not be accepted as a form of documentation because it does not show my address. However, the official guidance on gov.uk clearly states that this form of ID is acceptable and instructs applicants to provide and have it scanned at the Post Office.
It was concerning that the manager seemed unaware of the correct process and was passing inaccurate information on to staff. This caused unnecessary frustration and wasted time. I hope the branch ensures proper training so customers receive accurate guidance in future.
