- BHBrandon HillMay 27, 20261.0Very poor experience at the Gallows Inn Post Office on Nottingham Road. I dropped off an Amazon return that should have been free and properly processed. Instead, it was incorrectly handled and ended up being returned to my own address, rather than going to the Amazon return address. This is only a 2-minute walk from the branch, yet there was no warning or explanation at any stage that anything had gone wrong. I only discovered the issue afterwards and was then required to pay a £7 fee online (reference 4496 - SU) to release the parcel and resend it, which would not have happened if it had been processed correctly in the first place. On top of this, we have also had repeated issues at this branch with staff being very pushy about more expensive postage options, even when asking for standard services. This has included being encouraged to use tracked and signed services when not requested, and being quoted excessively high international postage costs without providing clearer cheaper alternatives. Overall, the service feels inconsistent and poorly handled, and this is not the first time we have had issues here. I will also be escalating this formally due to the incorrect charge and processing error. Would not recommend using this branch based on our experience.
