The people in charge of running this place do not deserve the opportunity of running a small buisness.Once upon a time running a post office was a status symbol and a position of high responsibility, sadly nowadays it seems they give the postmasters job to anyone. We all know that from time to time and personal circumstances a buisness may not be able to open but this place has been run like this for years .Totally useless.

- MTMartin Trevelyan-JonesDec 1, 20174.0Added on 12/01/2019 .... After having been closed for a few months the Post Office has now re-opened. It's opening hours can be seen on the accompanying photo. Small village Post Office which is the only one on the main road through Old Colwyn. It generally only sells Post Office related goods such as tape, envelopes etc., although it also has a stock of greeting and birthday cards as well as a limited stock of printing inks. Does not deal with certain forms such as those for passport applications. It is usually pretty busy and often has a queue of six or so, irrespective of the time of day. The staff are excellent - very helpful, efficient and friendly. Parking is in theory a problem as it is not permitted on the road outside, although most people ignore the restriction. There is a car park about 100 metres away but this is often full. If the Post Office were to close it would be a tragedy for the local area. It is closed during lunch, usually between 1.00 and 2.00p.m.
