I was advised they are a busy post office and don’t have time to offer a proof of postage service but if I pay recorded then they would be able to do this.

I visited this branch for a Home Office identity check, where the only required document was my passport. Despite this, the lady kept insisting on completely unnecessary documents including BRP, bank statements, and also utility bills; none of which were part of the official requirements from HO. It was clear she didn’t understand the process she was supposed to be handling. She struggled even with taking a photo of my passport and ended up mishandling it to the point of causing damage. To make matters worse, I was charged three times for a tracked delivery service that normally costs around £3. There was no explanation, no accountability, and no professionalism throughout the entire interaction. This branch is disorganised, poorly trained, and clearly not equipped to handle essential services. I won’t be returning, and I strongly advise others to avoid this location if they want to save themselves time, money, and frustration. Advice: Avoid this branch entirely. It’s simply not worth the hassle.
