- CBCatherine R. BrownMay 8, 20263.0My local post office , all the staff are friendly but the reason I gave it 3 stars is because it’s generally a minimum 10minute wait. No matter how busy it is, there is often only one person on the till and the queue stretches out. It really is annoying and I must admit I go to a post office farther away as often as I can and avoid this one if I can.

We had several international parcels to send and were told we had to process it all online before coming to the desk. If I wanted to do it all online I would have. What do you mean the Post Office doesn’t help with posting things? 😅
- ARAli RobinsonMar 7, 20261.0On Tuesday 24 February I arrived at 12:59pm. One man stood ahead of me in the queue being served. The woman behind the counter said “I’m closing for lunch after this man”. No apology. No effort to help. Her tone was extremely rude and dismissive. My parcel had a prepaid label and would have taken seconds to scan and accept. I work full time, so getting to my local post office during opening hours isn’t easy. The complete lack of customer care stood out. I left very annoyed and went to Abbots Cross Post Office instead. Staff there were lovely and handled the parcel without issue. I will not return to this Carnmoney branch.

Person behind the counter incredibly rude whilst dealing with taxing car, refused to take electronic proof of insurance and made a rude remark of 'sorry' when we left. Avoid like the plague, spar by the church probably treat you 100x better :)

How do I deposit a cheque at Post Office?
To deposit a cheque, you’ll need to bring the following to your nearest branch:
*The cheque
*A completed deposit slip from your bank, if applicable. Please contact your bank to request paying-in slips as these are not held in Post Office branches
*A cheque deposit envelope for your bank (these are available from your own bank or the majority are stocked in Post Office branches)
Please do not enclose cash. Full instructions can be found on the cheque deposit envelope.
Simply hand over your sealed cheque deposit envelope to the Post Office who will provide you with a receipt for your cheque deposit envelope.
Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?
If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch.
You may have been refused if you’re not signed up to this service. If you’d like to do so, contact your bank directly to find out whether they offer the service and how to sign up.
If you’ve signed up but aren’t using your nominated branch, it’s at that branch’s discretion whether they have enough change available to fulfil your request.
