How can this be called a Post Office?
I walked a mile on a Friday afternoon specifically to order foreign currency surely a basic and fundamental Post Office service, only to be told by the assistant that they were not trained to provide it.
How is this acceptable? Surely there must be a Service Level Agreement or minimum service requirement for a branch to retain Post Office status. If a customer cannot access such a basic service during normal opening hours simply because staff have not been trained, what exactly is being provided?
Having looked at the general reviews for this store, it is hardly surprising that it appears to be losing significant business. Poor training, inconsistent service and an apparent lack of basic customer focus are bound to drive customers elsewhere.
I would be very interested to know whether Post Office management is aware of the standard of service being provided at this branch and whether any action is being taken to address it.

Website says is open until 10pm but I went to collect my parcel at 16:30 and was told to come back following day as that service wasn’t available at that time. Useless.

Went to the Post Office on saturday afternoon to try and post a parcel.I was astounded at the way I was spoken to by a member of staff called Carol who was extremely rude and unhelpful. I only wanted to post a parcel, she clearly did not want to be there and did as much as she could to make me leave without posting it. Her attitude was probably the worst I have ever experienced from anyone serving the public. In the end after several minutes and me refusing to leave until she did her job,the parcel was taken from me and duly despatched.
