How do I deposit a cheque at Post Office?

To deposit a cheque, you’ll need to bring the following to your nearest branch: *The cheque *A completed deposit slip from your bank, if applicable. Please contact your bank to request paying-in slips as these are not held in Post Office branches *A cheque deposit envelope for your bank (these are available from your own bank or the majority are stocked in Post Office branches) Please do not enclose cash. Full instructions can be found on the cheque deposit envelope. Simply hand over your sealed cheque deposit envelope to the Post Office who will provide you with a receipt for your cheque deposit envelope.

Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?

Avoid this Post Office at all costs. The new *male* member of staff here is completely incompetent and unfit to handle multi-carrier services. For over 10 years I have had a good relationship with the staff here and have always dropped my multi service parcels for the staff to scan when they are less busy so as not hold up the queue; (this has been an on going routine and procedure for many years). - My scan receipts are then ready for collection the following day. So I dropped off over 20+ mixed parcels Sep 1, 2026, expecting them to be scanned in and receipts ready the following day. This particular clerk failed to scan them because tracking did not go live until they were scanned in the Plymouth depot and he cannot produce the post office scan receipts when requested. Instead, he accused Royal Mail of collecting the sacks without his knowledge and passed the blame to me for leaving the parcel sacks at the counter which I have been doing for over 10 years!!! My Evri parcels have now been illegally misrouted into the wrong network with zero tracking proof. When confronted with his own mistake and breach of operational procedure, the male staff member was unbelievably rude, hostile, and dismissive. I challenged him with demanding a review of the CCTV and an investigation. He refused to help, refused to log the error, and tried to cover up his own incompetence. Told me to go sort it at the Callington Delivery Office as its not his problem. He is losing customers' property through sheer laziness and then treats you with unbelievable indifference when caught out. I cannot understand how he was able to secure this position as a trusted Post Office worker. Absolutely disgraceful member of staff. I urge anyone who has received the same appalling service to take it further as I will do by lodging a formal complaint.

Not as good as the old post office but at least we still have it. But, it's in the wrong place. It needs to be where the butcher is now and that needs to return to the back of the shop as before. Only 2 staff when the po had 4 before and there's more people in Callington now. Standing in a shopping isle waiting for the post office is ridiculous customers and staff both know it. Spar needs to listen to locals, the Post office/Butcher situation s are hugely unpopular Post office needs more post office staff and the Butcher our last 1 left in Callington NEEDS to be Open all the time

Website opening times are incorrect. Lady behind counter said she knew it was wrong. Would be helpful if someone could take a moment to update their website and ask Post Office to update their website.

Please change your website opening times. Only open to 12:30 on a Saturday. Post Office Website and Google say 20:00! Parcel was delivered to Post Office. Email sent at 12:25 to say it was ready for collection. Member of staff in the SPAR was lovely, but nothing she could do.
