- RMRaksha MhatreMay 2, 20261.0Went to the post office yesterday evening when there was one person before me. The guy at the till asked me to take a parcel letter rather than giving it to me on the till and completing my parcel transaction as there was no other post office customer. Then as I finish doing and wait for another customer to finish their transaction and move towards the till, the guy asks me to go back at the line where now almost 10 people lined up. I told him I came before all of these and I waited for my turn as well so you should serve me as you didn’t help me complete my parcel like the post office staff is supposed to help. Then he asks the lady who is in the line for her permission to serve me and goes ahead when she says yes. When I told him this parcel is for a hospital, he couldn’t even tell me the word hospital clearly and had to hear almost 3 times to understand that he was saying hospital. After I finish my transaction, he serves the lady next and says sorry for waiting. Why would you say sorry for waiting to her in front of me deliberately if I have come way before all those customers who lined up before the post office closing hour’s last minute? This is just purely disrespectful and shows plain preferential treatment over specific type of customers over us. They should definitely serve the ones who came before by sorting out whatever help is needed for a post office service if it is a simple card or small parcel to be sent. I hope the management takes notice and ensures staff serves everyone who comes on time without discriminating between customers who come at the very last minute.
