  Inexplicable. I attempted to drop off a royal mail parcel, but was told that they are unable to accept parcels 30 minutes before closing time. This defeats the point of a closing time. I was turned away fairly curtly. I'm pleased to say that I was served very adequately only 5 minutes later by the post office in Great Shelford, 10 minutes before they were due to close. This places friction in the service that is just not necessary.

  I’ve tried to use the UPS drop-off/service points at three different corner shops within about a 1-mile radius, and all of them have the same problem: the information shown on the UPS website is consistently inaccurate or not reflected in reality. Opening times are wrong, staff often state they “don’t do UPS” or refuse parcels when the website says they are active drop-off points, and in some cases they seem unaware they are even listed as providing the service. This creates a completely unreliable experience for anyone trying to send or collect parcels. At this stage it’s not an isolated issue — it’s the same situation across all three nearby shops. It results in repeated wasted trips and a complete lack of trust in the UPS location data. UPS should urgently audit these locations and either ensure the service is actually being provided and properly supported, or remove them from the UPS network listings entirely. As it stands, the service information is misleading and not fit for purpose.
