- HAheila AliSep 11, 20261.0I was trying to send one medium envelope which was £1 and the guy was asking many questions and then asked if i was interested in knowing tracking details which i was not aware of this being an extra fee. This took the price from £1 to £9.95?? Then i noticed after i paid and he said he would cancel it and make it without tracking fee which was £5.95. He gave me my £3 back in change when i paid in card and wanted the refund processed back in card. Extremely unprofessional and don’t get how it’s £6 to send one envelope with a sheet of paper in. Beware as this place is constantly looking to find extortionate ways to send your post without explaining things!! Edit : responding because the business has now made serious allegations about my behaviour which are completely false! I did not use abusive or threatening language towards the staff, nor did I raise my voice or threaten anyone. I am a muslim teenage girl with respect and I remained calm throughout the interaction. When I was leaving, the worker repeatedly asked me if everything was okay, and I chose not to respond. I do not believe ignoring someone constitutes abuse or threatening behaviour. The fact that the reply said male/female staff when i had only spoke to a male shows the lies. I am also concerned by the statement that my behaviour was “reported to West Midlands Police” and is “on record, including CCTV footage”. If the business genuinely believes I committed an offence, then they can allow the appropriate authorities to deal with it. However, i will also be filing a report back for defamation as I will not accept being publicly described as abusive or threatening when I know that is not what happened. Regarding the postage, I understand that Royal Mail has different prices for Letters and Large Letters and that the price depends on the item’s size and weight. My complaint was about the way the additional tracked service and charges were presented to me. I was initially told the postage was £1, then after being asked whether I wanted tracking, the price became £9.95. I was not aware that this would add such a significant amount. The worker then said the order would be cancelled and that I would receive the cheaper untracked service instead. I had paid by card, but I was given £3 cash back and wanted the refund processed back to my card. Which is also consumer rights under the Consumer rights act 2015. Pls do your research My review is based on my experience as a customer. I am entitled to explain that experience, and I would expect a business to explain its prices clearly before taking payment rather than accusing a customer of behaviour that they dispute.
