Not very impressed by the services here. Went to collect my DPD parcel and got turned away because the counter wasn't opened until 12.00. Came back again at 17.30 and was told that the counter was closed at 17.00. The staff at the counter looked unhappy and grumpy as if I was asking him for a difficult favour when I paid for the services.. In short, the counter where you can collect or send DPD parcels is only available from 12.00-17.00 which is different from the post office opening hours and the hours displayed on the DPD website.

They lost my parcel and basically said it was my fault for ordering it to this post office. They wouldn’t look for it, just stated it hadn’t been delivered to this post office and to email the other post offices to see if they had it. I showed them that they signed for the delivery and the picture from the Royal Mail showing it was their shop my parcel had been delivered to, to which the replied that the Royal Mail must be lying and that they don’t accept Royal Mail parcels, which I found hard to believe as I selected this post office through the Royal Mail website. The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful, basically telling me to leave and it wasn’t their problem, offered no apologies for losing my package and acted as if I was inconveniencing them rather than take accountability. I would highly recommend considering a different post office wherever possible.

VERY bad customer service. I went to this post office to send a parcel earlier this week. I explained that I needed a bit of guidance, but instead the older man serving me was passive-aggressive and rude. He gave me a label and told me to write the address. When I returned to the counter, he asked what the parcel contained for safety/security reasons. After I answered, he laughed and said, “not very expensive,” which I found strange, completely unnecessary and irrelevant. The item actually was quite pricey as it was a limited piece of merchandise I was sending to a friend. He rushed the entire process and didn’t seem willing to help. I’m also certain I was overcharged for shipping. When I asked about a 3–5 day option instead of next day delivery, he told me not to bother as it would cost the same. That didn’t seem right and he didn’t even check so I knew he was lying, and when I kept asking for different shipping options he made some excuse about parcel delivery and pick up times… After looking it up myself when I got home, I found that wasn’t true at all snd I could’ve got cheaper shipping which would’ve been preferred as my friend was paying for shipping, not me. I’m also unhappy with how the man behind the counter handled my parcel. He was unnecessarily rough and dashed it down carelessly, despite the clearly marked “fragile” tape. Given his earlier “not very expensive” comment, it felt intentional and spiteful. In hindsight, I should have expected issues. The day before, when I went in to buy packaging, another staff member watched me very closely and even went to inspect the area I had been browsing after I walked away, as if I’m going to steal £3.99 packaging. If only they put the same energy they use being unnecessarily rude to paying customers into maintaining their shop. The place was unkempt, messy, disorganised and noticeably dirty with an unpleasant smell. I would have gone elsewhere, but I was in a hurry. Overall, a very poor experience. I won’t be returning to this branch… honestly wish I read the reviews first.
