On the advice given to me by the lady in the post office I sent it through DPD and it cost over ÂŁ30. After some time I got a message from DPD stating that they do not deliver to PO Boxes which is where the parcel was addressed to and that the parcel would be returned to me and that all post office workers know this information. I spoke to a man at the post office about this only to be told that it was âbecause of the warâ. I eventually got my parcel back 2 weeks ago and then went to a different post office who did not understand why or what Maypole post office had done. The second post office, Wythall, has sent my parcel the correct way and it cost me just over ÂŁ20! This is not the first time I have been given wrong information. Maypole post office is a shambles! They donât even use the post office counter, they use the âshopâ counter. The whole place is a mess with bags containing parcels in full view and easy access to the public. My daughter in law was spoken to very rudely by the man in there who actually threw an old gentleman out of the shop as he had a driving licence for id which, apparently, wasnât good enough. If I have a choice I will not be using that post office again even though it is within walking distance from my home and all other options are a car ride away.
