Went in to sort some paperwork for a car. Both members of staff that dealt with me on separate occasions were extremely helpful, kind and polite. Definitely recommend this branch.

I went into the post office yesterday to purchase a stamp to send a card to U.S. When I entered, the women behind both counters were in deep conversation, they saw me come in, ignored me and continued on with their conversation in their own language at some length. Eventuality, I had to ask if they intended to serve me. The woman, still chatting, didn't look at the card but preceeded to put a second class stamp on the card. I mentioned that it was going to the U.S. She didn't weigh the card but plucked a price out of the air for the cost. I paid for it but I shldnt have really as the lack of good customer service made me distrustful. She gave me my change by laying it on the counter without looking at me, without a thank you, no apology for her error. I took the card with me as I didnt believe she would post it. I took the card elsewhere and asked them to check the price before posting. It was not correct. I felt she was treating me in this appalling way because of the colour of my skin. I have used that P.O. for many years, I wont be returning. The experience upset my day. They obviously want my money but I am nothing otherwise. I would advise all non white customers to see how they are treated and if its as bad as my experience, vote with yr feet!! Most upsetting was the woman behind the main counter has been there for many years and was fully complicit in this interaction. Appalling
