Very disappointed I was advised on the post office website that Ampthill Post Office are able to take Cash Deposits for my Bank Santander. I arrived there today at 2.30pm only to be told that they are unable to take anymore deposits as they are at their limit for taking cash. Hang on a minute you’re a Post Office and you refuse to take more money. Ludicrous- Post Office I suggest you amend your website as this cost me money to drive there and then drive to another post office who was able to to deposit money with no limits! What a joke!

Upgrading to 5, new staff member is good, gives great customer service and is friendly.
Previous review- Same as the part next door. No smiles or no real customer service.

I regularly visit this location to drop off multiple parcels. On every visit, I am assisted by two female staff members who consistently show dissatisfaction and an unwelcoming attitude toward me. Each time I come in with packages to be scanned, they appear unhappy to help and behave as though I am asking for a favor, rather than requesting a service I have already paid for.
On my most recent visit, one staff member refused to take my package directly and instead kept me waiting while checking papers. She then asked me in a rude tone, “Do you want me to scan this?” despite the fact that scanning parcels is clearly part of her job. Her attitude was unpleasant and unnecessary. Scanning my packages would have taken only two to three minutes, yet I was treated poorly for making this request.
Every time I visit this post office, I leave feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. I do not understand why the service is consistently so poor. I am a paying customer and expect to be treated with basic courtesy and professionalism.
I kindly ask that this matter be taken seriously and that steps be taken to improve customer service at this location. I believe there are many capable, polite, and professional people who would be happy to do this job and treat customers respectfully.
