Excellent small post office within the convenience store. Staff are friendly and helpful. I was trying to send my grandsons birthday gift and needed a box to post. The assistant even made up the flat pack box and helped me pack to send. There’s not much room to do these things but they have a range of packing materials and much better than the supposed main post office

I wanted to send some postcards from Oban to the USA so came into the empty, not busy post office. Walked up and the guy behind the counter could not have been more unpleasant to me. Huffing and puffing, very irritated that I needed 3 stamps for post cards. All he had to do was take my 11£ (!!!) and hand me 3 stamps. Thank god I didn’t actually need his help for a package or something. Maybe he was having a bad day, but no excuse to treat me like this.

A few signs would help. I was wandering all around Oban looking for a Post Office, only to be told that it was in the old building roughly opposite the cancer charity shop. Eventually I found it. Perhaps a sign on the outside saying 'Post Office' might be a good idea?
