I have always found the lady in the post office most helpful. The rules re posting are not made up by her but by the Royal Mail and I am sure she tries hard to communicate these with politeness

The most obnoxious woman server that I have ever come across who appears to be on some psychotic power trip with regard to following post office or parcel force procedures.
Her interpretation of the rules and procedures she is required to follow are assembled within her mind on the hoof.
Absolutely disgraceful service akin to “Customer Service” from the Stone Age!
