I visited the Post Office on Inverurie High Street this morning to post some parcels. When I approached the counter, I was told “we’re not quite open yet,” which I later realised was because it was around 8:50am and opening time is 9:00am.
That’s completely fair however, what happened next wasn’t.
While I waited nearby, I saw the same staff member serving someone else inside while chatting casually. After noticing me watching, she then called me in.
It’s frustrating to see rules applied inconsistently depending on who you are. If the Post Office isn’t open, it shouldn’t be open for selected individuals. This came across as unprofessional and, frankly, unfair treatment.
I’d expect a more consistent and impartial approach to customers.

Flegmatic workers, I hate going in, they just pretend to be busy or chat with their pals, no customer service skill at all. They would need a training or a new job, because no people skill, politeness, welcoming at all. My friend didn’t get his mail in the USA
