Very disappointed with HOLD MAIL service. I placed the hold order online several days before we left to ensure the hold. We got mail the first day of hold order and the day before the order was to end. What's so disappointing is that a package worth $300 was left on my porch for two days until a concerned neighbor called while we were in California to inquire about it. How disappointed I was to know that my valuable item had been so vulnerable just sitting on the front porch after I did what I was supposed to do. I called the Post Office to tell of my experience and was told that even though I place a online HOLD, "I" should call to make sure they got it or either come in to fill out the yellow paper form. Well then what's the point of offering the convenient online service if I still have to take additional steps to make sure they do their job? The whole point for online is for the convenience! I have had no problems in the past with mail hold, but this time was so different. Hopefully, my experience will be good as in the past for future dealings with Tyrone Post Office.
