I have repeatedly asked that the mail carrier close my mailbox. Once again during a several days of rain he failed to do so. The result is a water damaged AKC title certificate for one of my dogs. To replace the certificate is a $35 charge from the AKC. These title certificates represent 100's of hours of training and 100's of dollars in entry fees. The Range Post Office is the WORST!

I am a Ranger citizen, and I have been so frustrated with our local post office. My last few visits to the branch office, which is where most of my issues lie because our postal carries themselves do good jobs delivering our mail and packages in my experience (the only reason I am leaving a three star review rather than a lower one), but the office itself is rarely open during their posted hours and their prices for shipping packages have been higher than the othe two local post offices (Fairmount and Oakman). I had tried to ship a small package during my before last visit and they quoted me as $20+ to ship it. I knew that was too high as I've shipped similar packages for less at the Fairmount Post Office, so I declined and went to Fairmount. $7 to ship it there! The postal worker there explained it was most likely due to faulty equipment or error due to an inexperienced postal worker. I'll give Ranger another chance in the future to see if they improve- and will update my review accordingly- but from past experiences I don't expect this review will change.

    1. We got a P.O. Box at the Ranger, Ga location. We explained to them that we needed the mail for 1 person to be sent to this PO Box rather than delivered to the home address. They said “ok. No problem” -all the mail for that address was delivered there -they “corrected the issue”, then all the mail, EXCEPT for the mail that was supposed to go to the PO Box, went to the PO Box -they changed the name on the PO Box to a completely different name and “returned to sender” any mail we were waiting on to come to the PO Box 2. You cannot actually meet with anyone at this location, as they are never there. Even if you are in the middle of conversation with them, they will walk out of the office to go to the other “post office location” and even asked us to go to that location to finish our conversation. 3. UPS gave them one of our packages for delivery. It was supposed to have been delivered by 3:15 PM that day. The mail came and went and no package. When I asked the mail person about the package the next day, she just shrugged and drove off.

Horrible!!!!!! I called to locate a package that has been lost after last being reported at this location and I get placed on hold and at first was understandable but they the lady who placed me on hold left me on hold, I had to hang up after several minutes of being on hold and hearing nobody in the back ground and saying hello over and over! I call back and for over an hour now the line has been busy!!!!! You mean to tell me I would still be on hold for that long!!!!!! They need to take more responsibility in their jobs or find someone who will!!!!!!
