  My most recent experience at the Pine Lake Post Office was a very pleasant one, due to the fact that I had a very nice and friendly PO employee named Daphne. I had two items to be shipped and it was a little complicated, but Daphne was real easy-going about it and very sweet.

  During Thanksgiving holiday my sister and niece visited me here in Lithonia GA. On their visit they purchased some seasonings from the farmers market on ponce. We weren't sure if they could take them back on the plane with them so I mailed them from this post office. Mailed it priority and it cost me $40. About $100 in seasonings to prepare our Christmas family dinner lost. Got mix info on where the package went but then was told it's in a hub in the town of destination but we can't go there to get it. Long story short the package was never received and never found. I would never ever use USPS again in my life. Stick to letters and envelopes. These ppl are thieves and I can't get my money back. Mailed the package priority and had the receipt but they are sailing I need to have the receipt for the package contents altho it is automatically insured for $100. Never, Ever would or will I be using them again. Stick with UPS or Fed Ex.

  I recently had gotten a PO Box. I had a package delivered there on the 10th Of October. I went in a few days later to get it. It was not in my PO Box. I waited a long line and she said we need your tracking number. I didn’t have it so I had to go back a few days later. I went back a few days later. Another woman was in front of me and I was standing there for 20 minutes. The woman in front of me got a notice that a package was delivered for her the day before. It wasn’t in her PO Box. She went back later on that evening and it still wasn’t there. She was told at the counter that she has to file a claim. Then it was my turn. I provided the tracking number. And she said oh it should’ve been in your PO Box. You have to file the claim. That’s two in a row that they can’t find the package. I don’t understand why there’s six people in line and we’re waiting 20 minutes for two people, and they can’t find either of our packages.

  I ship a lot of packages and I use the self checkout service. It's quick and easy. Any staff member I may have had to deal with has always been pleasant and helpful.

  This is a very slow and understaffed post office. Very long wait times. Service very slow. Staff is professional. Service is just so slow.
