  A few weeks ago, I had an unusual problem getting a package delivered through DHL. I was prepared for a massive headache, hours on the phone, or possibly losing the item altogether based on bad past experiences with other delivery services. Instead, DHL completely shocked me with their OUTSTANDING customer service. When I called in to discuss the issue, it was easy to connect to live human beings(!) who were courteous and helpful(!!) and each person I spoke with put me at ease. I was also contacted promptly and directly by Eric Settles, a field agent at my local service point who provided a prompt, clear and detailed explanation of the issue and what I could expect next. As my package progressed I received regular updates from various people at DHL along the custody chain without any further efforts on my part to ensure the package was accounted for, and following delivery Eric reached back out one more time and verified I had received my item. This DHL location and the company as a whole proved their incredible committment to customer service in the way they addressed my issue. Each person I spoke with was responsive, professional, helpful, courteous and kind. Eric in particular went the extra mile to answer all of my questions and to check back in (on top of his regular day to day duties); this man is truly dedicated to his company and his customers! DHL's Norcross Service Point and DHL as a whole demonstrates a level of true customer service that sets it miles above any domestic competitor and I highly recommend this company for your shipping needs.
