If you're looking to ruin your day, stop by the Mableton post office. In addition to slow and rude general service, I scheduled a passport appointment weeks in advance only to show up to find no one there. The response I got from the person at the desk was, "I guess she must have called out today." No notice or courtesy for the appointment.
