  1 Star – Deeply Unprofessional and Misleading Hiring Process I dealt with Crystal My experience with Adecco was a complete waste of time and reflects serious issues with transparency, communication, and professionalism. I was advanced through multiple stages of the hiring process, including interviews, background check authorization, onboarding steps, and discussions around a start date. At no point was I informed that additional, highly specific documentation would be required beyond standard proof of insurance and licensing. Only after the process was well underway did new “mandatory” requirements suddenly appear. This kind of bait-and-switch approach is unacceptable. Compliance requirements do not magically surface at the final stage—if certain documents are required to proceed, candidates should be informed clearly and upfront, not after time, energy, and availability have already been committed. The process felt rushed and poorly managed, with more emphasis on pushing the placement forward quickly than on ensuring expectations were properly communicated. When I raised reasonable concerns and set boundaries around providing additional personal documentation that was never originally disclosed, the process was abruptly shut down and framed as if I had withdrawn—when in reality, the conditions had changed midstream. That is not transparency. That is not professionalism. And it demonstrates a lack of respect for candidates’ time. If you are considering working with Adecco, I strongly advise getting every single requirement in writing at the very beginning, including all compliance documentation, before agreeing to interviews or onboarding steps. Otherwise, be prepared for shifting expectations and last-minute surprises. This experience has prompted me to escalate concerns through corporate channels, as no candidate should be treated this way. Adecco has significant work to do if this is representative of their recruiting standards.
