On Wednesday, 02/02/2022, I was at the Post Office in 30117 Carrollton, GA, to drop off several prepaid packages to different receivers in multiple US States. When being asked, I truthfully declared that the contents of the packages contained shotguns, unloaded, and no ammunition in the boxes. The teller said "The Post Office doesn't accept weapons for transportation.". I was mentioning Publication 52 - Hazardous, Restricted, and Perishable Mail > 4 Restricted Matter > 43 Firearms > 432 Mailability > 432.3 Rifles and Shotguns, where under sub-paragraph d. it clearly states "Rifles and shotguns may be mailed by a non-FFL owner domestically to a FFL dealer, manufacturer, or importer in any state." The teller was not interested in any reasoning and did not read the provided printout of the publication, so I asked for a Manager. I was forwarded to Greta Gamble-Johnson, a supervisor who had USPS tag which was expired in 2019. Again, I stated my request and produced the mentioned publication. Mrs. Gamble-Johnson was not interested in the written rules either, did not read it, and every time I pointed out the obvious text of her own rulebook, all I got as an answer was multiple times "We do NOT accept firearms here for shipping" and "You need to have a license and show your paperwork first". I also asked her to involve her next manager, she went to the back office and came back literally 10 seconds later, saying that the Postmaster of the office confirmed that they are not accepting any firearms for shipping. I was denied the opportunity to speak to the Postmaster him/herself, and was threatened to leave the premises immediately. An official complaint with the USPS Postal Inspector has been filed.
