The man who works the front desk is SO NICE and friendly and polite and helpful. However, 9/10 he is the only one working - no matter what time or day I go. It's ridiculous that a post office in a major city (and the only one around for miles) only has one employee working the front desk.

Consistently marks packages as "Insufficient Address" when the exact same address was eligible for delivery from USPS and other carriers. This is now the third time my package was marked "Delivered, Individual Picked Up at Post Office" despite the fact that I nor any affiliated party has done so. Are they allowing strangers to pick up packages meant for me?

Deplorable service: Today, Friday, February 13,2026 I visited my local United States Postal Service office at around 4:00 pm to send a Priority Mail package to my dad in Carolina, Puerto Rico. I have successfully mailed packages to this same address in the past without issue. However, during this visit, the clerk assisting me stated that she could not locate the address in the system. She explained that the address did not follow the same format as addresses in Georgia and therefore could not be entered manually because it did not “exist” in the system.
Puerto Rico is a United States territory, and USPS provides national and territorial mailing services. I was confused and concerned that an address within a U.S. territory could not be processed. When I respectfully asked whether the address could be manually entered or whether a supervisor or postmaster could assist, the clerk appeared frustrated. As additional customers entered the lobby, I felt rushed and treated as though I was inconveniencing staff simply by seeking clarification.
I am deeply concerned that USPS employees may not be adequately trained to process mail to U.S. territories when address formats differ slightly from mainland conventions. This is not an international shipment; it is domestic mail to a U.S. territory.
Additionally, I was not permitted to photograph my package prior to relinquishing it to confirm that the address was correct. She stated, “No photos are allowed in the post office,” and even suggested that I go somewhere else to send the package if I “felt more comfortable.” I explained that the package needed to be sent out that day and asked for assurance that it would be properly tracked. She then proceeded with the transaction and printed the receipt. When I requested clarification regarding the tracking number, I was told it was “right there” on the receipt, and the clerk pointed vaguely to a number among several codes. When I asked for clearer guidance, I was met with visible frustration.
This experience felt dismissive, outdated, and unprofessional. USPS is a national service, and customers should be able to mail packages to U.S. territories without confusion, resistance, or attitude. No one should feel like an inconvenience for asking reasonable questions or requesting clarity about where their package is going and how to track it. I left feeling frustrated, unheard, and uncertain about whether my package would be properly delivered. This level of service is unacceptable and needs improvement.

Unprofessional, rude, and condescending front-desk person on the Friday morning shift. Black, middle-aged dude who can’t even read and was extremely hostile toward customers. Pathetic.
