I am extremely disappointed with the manager Vanessa Plair. Unfortunately, the negative Google reviews about her being childish and unprofessional are true even AFTER 2 years! I went to this post office seeking help with an International Priority Express (3–5 days) package sent to Barranquilla, Colombia containing an important legal document (power of attorney). The package had not been delivered after 3 weeks. I was told by the clerks to come back the next day to speak with the manager, which turned out to be a complete waste of time. Vanessa Plair provided no help at all. Instead, she made ignorant and disrespectful comments, including asking me, “Why don’t you go to Bogotá?” which is a completely different city that is over a 2-hour flight away from Barranquilla. She smirked/laughed while I was explaining a serious issue and showed no concern or professionalism. When I explained that her clerks gave me misinformation about the service (which led me to purchase it), she refused to take any responsibility. I was offered no solution, no refund, and no help with my $100 insurance. If I had been properly informed that Colombia was not a guaranteed country for this service, I would never have sent the package. Because of this experience, I have lost all trust in this post office. I will never use the Adel Post Office for international shipping or Priority Mail again. Vanessa Plair not only needs to correct her childish behavior, but she also needs to properly train her clerks so customers are not misled into buying services they do not fully understand. This location takes no responsibility for their mistakes, and customers are left without answers or accountability.

This is the most childishly run post office I have ever seen in my life...and I have seen many. The post master, VANESSA PLAIR, as well as her friend, fellow employ CARROLL REVELS, are indescribably rude, petty, and pathetic. They insist not doing anything about misdelivered packages, allowing packages to be stolen, claiming they "can't do anything about it", just because they are jealous of the female whom the package is addressed to. Not to mention the clerk, TINA GIBBS, refuses to change package status to "misdelivered"...implying that the package has been delivered correctly , when it obviously has not. As I said, They insist not doing anything about misdelivered packages. These three employees should be locked up for causing people's packages to be stolen constantly. Vanessa Plair should be removed from her position, and replaced with someone who is actually capable of being an honest, intelligent post master.

Overall I am very happy with the friendly services. Here are several things that I always encounter however that need attention. 1. Prices for mailing packages. One worker finds the best prices, while another usually charges me too much. That is my concern is that I want the lowest bottom line mailing price. It depends on the person doing it. Sometimes it is only two or three dollars, then if I get the wrong person that charges the higher prices it goes up closer to $5 for my mailings. That part needs improvement worker to worker. Make sure everyone on staff understands how to get us the lowest and fairest price. Work as a team. 2. It is also very difficult to get in and out of the "enclosed" parking area. There is only one entrance. I would prefer at least two entrances and exits onto and out of the property. 3. Hutchinson Avenue needs to be smoothed out there in front. There are two huge mounds of extra pavement that causes vehicles to bounce very badly there. That needs to be reworked and smoothed out. It is causing wear and tear on everyone's vehicles. Thank you very much.

The mail person never comes to the door to drop off packages, then they leave a letter in the mail saying they “attempted” to drop something off when they didn’t even come to the door.
