The woman who was working behind the counter was so patient and helpful. Even though the store was busy and there was a line of impatient customers, she was calm and kind and resisted the pressure to hurry the couple along. Kudos to her. I wish I had the presence of mind to make note of her name.

I brought in a box that was a little worn, but structurally fine. The staff immediately fixated on it and tried to sell me a $9 box instead of simply taping the top. I told them I was perfectly fine with the condition of the box and asked them to just put three strips of tape across the top. They flat-out refused. When I asked if this was actually store policy – “one piece of tape per box, nothing more” – the employee rudely said yes and claimed, very confidently, that this is what the manager told her. That didn’t sit right, so I called UPS corporate. Corporate confirmed this is NOT a policy. So now we’re not just talking about bad customer service, we’re talking about misrepresenting company policy to push customers into buying packing materials they don’t need. Between the attitude, the disrespect, and the dishonesty, I won’t be using this UPS Store again. There are plenty of places that know how to treat customers with basic respect and don’t make up “policies” to squeeze a few extra dollars out of people
