I wanted to share my experience with your Tarpon store. It's never been anything but a 5 star experience. I was looking for a printer but I'm tired of everything getting more complicated. The manager approached me to see if I needed help. At first I said no, and he said if that changed, his name was Peter to just flag him down. After about 10 minutes I asked him for some help. At this time I am exploring my options and wasn't quite ready to buy but he still treated me as a buying customer. He provided me with a wealth of information, gave me his recommendations, gave me the pros and cons between different brands, I have never been so flooded with information. But in a good way. I have read some of the reviews for this store and was a little shocked at some of the reviews. I was apprehensive at first but Peter put me at ease that these reviews are just bogus. I worked in the retail industry as a buyer for 25 years. What people don't understand is that these workers have to deal with 100's of people a day and they are human to. I get so sick of these negative reviews for these employees who are generally treated worse than any other industry. They don't deserve this kind of negative backlash. And then I went and read some of the other reviews these negative nillys submitted and looks like they are habitual bashers. NO ONE can have this many issues at different places unless YOU are the one with the problem. Well these guys have always been nothing but professional and are ALWAYS helpful. I will be buying a printer soon and you can bet once I've made up my mind I will go back to them. Oh yeah, they price match. What!!?? Why would I shop anywhere else. Thanks for doing what you do. Some of the worst customer service i have experienced in a while. Being the only customer in the store, u would think getting help from a associate would be easy. hell when I walked in a hello would have been nice I guess there conversation was more important. Then the store manager comes to help me an he acts like hes doing me a favor. I don't normally leave reviews but I couldn't believe how bad that experience was.It was laughable. I will never go back or buy anything from that store again. Customer service has gotten so bad amazing that that guy was a store manager. I'm sure his associates are top-notch. Had to get on here a scream into the void. Just

I read the review from Shelby Legue. She wasn’t truthful. I happened to be at the print area at the time she called. I heard the print lady talking to the manager. She said she agreed to have Shelby’s business cards done at the end of the day if they were 250 cards, and next day if they were 500 cards. I also heard the manager responding to Shelby on the phone, he sounded reasonable to me, not like Shelby’s lengthy attack on him. If Shelby was good with time management, she wouldn’t place her order last minute then wanted it to be done at the time it wasn’t supposed to be. I’ve had multiple print orders with Staples and always had great experiences with the print dept. The store employees don’t have a chance to defend themselves so I want to speak up for them. I witnessed many people who were rude and entitled, then put all the blame to the store employees. Well if you are nice, people will be nice back. “You get what you pay for”. Store employees are human just like you and they deserve respect so treat them with respect. Remember, being nice goes a long way. I love Tarpon Springs Staples, their staff are friendly and would recommend the store to everyone.

Today I called staples at 4:30pm needing to replace business cards that had just been damaged, for an event for tomorrow. I asked if I ordered them today if they would be completed by the end of the day. I was told yes, even after clarifying it was in fact 500 cards. So I placed the order. I come in around 6:45 and ask if they are done, I’m told no, I’m told to come back tomorrow. Even though I was told they would have been completed by tonight over the phone. I then ask what’s the earliest they could be done tomorrow, she’s now saying she doesn’t know, because it’s morning staff that will have to do it. I left. I’m not going to argue in the store. I then call, and asked to speak to a manager, wondering if there’s any way to rush it for tomorrow morning (I would have paid extra and no I’m not delusional in believing the woman currently in the print centre is going to be any help), I explain I needed these for an event, the ones I had were damaged, and I needed a last minute replacement (acknowledging I’m asking for a lot) and I solely ordered from them based off the phone conversation I had with this woman at 4:30 saying they could be done by tonight, and now don’t have other options. The manager proceeds to tell me ‘it’s not their fault I didn’t think about it until 4:30.’ I’m then asked if I want to cancel or keep the order, when i didn’t respond immediately (because how dare anyone take a second to process the options AND the disbelief he really just tried inventing my life story), he proceed to double down with the nasty attitude. So I cancelled. You truly didn’t want to work sir, your wish is granted. The staff lied. Period. If it’s not something that can be done don’t tell people you can. It’s simple. Understandable, no harm no foul. If you can’t it’s cool, just say so. I would have been on my way and picked a different company, again, no problem. What’s not okay, is that my other suitable option to rectify the issue is now gone, based on decisions made, because of this individuals information. To the manager; I probably would have kept the order regardless of the situation. But your absolute garbage commentary pertaining to how you believe anyone’s life works, is wildly unacceptable. As a manager, it is your problem, the call was less about the complaint, and more about how it could be fixed, and if something could be done/arranged before a deadline. But you latched solely onto the complaint. Of course she’s going to tell you something different, you’re her boss. But guess what, that’s irrelevant, there still has to be a resolution. If you don’t like facts, that’s fine, but trying to make it personal? You have no authority to give life advice where it’s not asked for, applicable or needed. It’s actually crazy to offer a solution to someone after they’ve asked for help… but only after being so disrespectful and blatantly ignoring information provided to you, that you’ve made someone realize they’d rather lose money, than to work with you anymore… thats a real skill set. Not one to be proud of. I’ve used staples in 9 countries because it’s consistent and reliable. But I have never had miscommunication like that, and they didn’t even speak English. Thank you for the eye-opening experience.

Pete and Jeff did a great job of running an evaluation of my old laptop (running Windows 10), reviewing my computing requirements, recommending a new product which would meet my requirements and then transferring the information from my old laptop to my new laptop. So far I have been very happy with the speed and performance of my new HP laptop.
