Update: the same 5 Paper Mate mechanical pencils that I bought for $5.99 at Staples cost only $2.99 at Publix, which was my next stop. I went to Staples looking for an unusual size mechanical pencil and settled for what they had, just to find out that I wasted time and money when I could have gotten the same at Publix for half the price.
