- CSCraig SingleSep 15, 20251.0Recently I was visiting my mother and needed to ship two boxes of fragile family collectibles which were packed in the same packages that movers had used to relocate the same boxes from Pennsylvania to Florida. Nothing was broken in the 1,000+ mile move and yet when the two boxes arrived at my home back in Pennsylvania sure enough there was a broken family piece of china. The issue at this location of the UPS Store was that the employee who processed my packages offered to add Fragile stickers on the boxes. They arrived WITHOUT the stickers. Perhaps leading to rougher handling than they could withstand. Luckily the piece is replaceable, and has been replaced. BUT the insult to the broken piece was the owner of the store putting in writing and then over a phone call, that they NEVER offer Fragile stickers as they DON'T carry them in the store. Then why did the employee in your store, who was clearly identified as someone who has worked there, offer the non-existent stickers. Being accused of "maybe not understanding" what was communicated vs taking accountability for an employee who made a mistake is not how a business is typically run. I even have documented text messages I sent immediately after the drop off that they had offered this service. Unreal.
