  Woo Hoo!! My absolute favorite title agent is with Sun Belt Title St. Pete Beach now, Joanne Davison provides great customer service and is the best title agent out there. I have been using her for years and I will follow her anywhere because of the great work, customer service and positive kind attitude she shows toward my customers! Make sure to request her to be your title agent!

  In our case we were the buyers with a post occupancy agreement with the sellers. The day of the closing we were rushed through all the documents, I did not have any time to even look for discrepancies at the time. However, I was assured many times by the title officer that, “it’s all correct, we do this all the time.” After we left the office I reviewed the closing statement and realized that funds were not withheld from the sellers costs for the post occupancy agreement, although we did get the credit. We signed docs at 3:00pm the sellers signed at 11:00 am. During our signing the title officer was trying to send funds to our seller so he could fund his new house. They were closing the same day and apparently the same time. She seemed a little scattered. Not to mention she had more closings waiting in the lobby. I phoned to discuss the oversight of the sellers costs, however, no one returned my call. I phoned my Realtor and he got through to them. Apparently the sellers costs were overlooked but they immediately corrected it. When escrow was opened my insurance agent submitted an invoice to title, however, within 2 days we canceled that insurance, a cancellation notice was sent to title along with a new invoice for a different policy. My closing statement showed the correct insurance company name and correct premium amount. Two weeks later I get a small refund from my original cancelled insurance company and a notice to cancel from the correct insurance company for non-payment. I looked on my closing statement and confirmed that the debit amount was correct as well as the name of the company. Upon a thorough investigation it was brought to my attention that when the title company paid the insurance company they sent it to the original canceled company. When the company received the payment they reinstated the canceled policy and issued the refund for a small overpayment. I immediately called the title company and they refused to accept responsibility for the mistake. My insurance agent stepped in and had to cancel again to get a full refund sent to me so I can turn around and pay the correct insurance company. I feel I have had to be diligent in making sure things were correct and this should have been their responsibility. If you dare to use this company please insist on time to review all docs and insist that after all funds have been disbursed you get copies of he checks.
