- JSJohn SmithSep 16, 20254.0I have learned; Amazon will use the USPS to deliver packages. As the previous review states mine was being 'held at the owner's request' which I did not request. The USPS will mark a mailbox 'inactive' if mail is not collected after 10 days, no longer deliver it, rather hold it. Many of us are part time here and certainly don't check mail every 10 days. Looking in Amazon you may assume it is at this post office when in fact you should find your package at the Santa Rosa Beach Carrier Annex, 33 Churchill Bayou Rd. Why Amazon doesn't just deliver themselves like the rest of the country is beyond me.

Amazon provided me with “Customer has requested the shipment to be held for collection. Please collect your package once available for pick-up.” I did not request it to be held and surely shouldn’t have to sign for $30 of kitchen utensils. This was purely an act of too lazy to deliver the package I paid for shipping on. Tried calling multiple times to even verify if my package was there an no answer. It’s a shame I’ll have to quit using Amazon now that I live in Santa Rosa beach simply because this post office has no drive to complete the simplest task.
