- JSJohn SmithSep 16, 20254.0I have learned; Amazon will use the USPS to deliver packages. As the previous review states mine was being 'held at the owner's request' which I did not request. The USPS will mark a mailbox 'inactive' if mail is not collected after 10 days, no longer deliver it, rather hold it. Many of us are part time here and certainly don't check mail every 10 days. Looking in Amazon you may assume it is at this post office when in fact you should find your package at the Santa Rosa Beach Carrier Annex, 33 Churchill Bayou Rd. Why Amazon doesn't just deliver themselves like the rest of the country is beyond me.
