- BABill AdamsOct 30, 20251.0I was totally ripped off today by a very rude woman behind the counter. I confirmed in advance that this location accepts General Delivery. I have been traveling in an RV for the past 8 months and have relied on GD to receive packages, never an issue and never a fee. She told me I owed $29 in postage before I could get my items. I made my purchases thru Amazon so they did all the work with regard to shipping and handling so I couldn’t understand why I was being charged postage again. She refused to help me to understand the reason why I was paying postage when my items had already been delivered. She just kept repeating “you owe postage”. I paid her $29 for my delivery which weighed just 12.8 oz! So what did I get for this $29 charge called postage? I can only guess I paid her to receive the 12.8 ounces of parcels, turn around and place them on a shelf 5 feet away, then retrieve them for me 2 hours later. It feels very underhanded to me.

- AKA KennSep 20, 20253.0I just want to say my regular mailman Sam is phenomenal! But when he’s not on our route if we get a package that doesn’t fit in the box they won’t come to the house. I had one person leave a box at the edge of my driveway and walkway. Actually saw them do it and today I knew I had a package that wouldn’t fit. My little dogs who are barkers but never biters notified me he was here. I walked out and actually caught him writing a slip to put in my box making me go to the post office to get my package. I was able to intercept it because I walked out to the mailbox. I DO NOT find this acceptable at all! Looks like these newbies are lazy and slacking on their jobs. We need more Sams working.

No communication from the Post Office, and Amazon can only say there is a problem with the order. Previously (recently as 2024) the post office wouldn’t deliver them out to the Cape but would hold them and I would come pick them up. I didn’t mind having to come in to pick them up but they are really making getting anything sent here via Amazon quite difficult. I’d recommend UPS for an Amazon deliveries.
