I’ve lived in this community for more than 15 years, and as a veteran and long‑time USAA member, I rely on the businesses USAA partners with for services, especially since USAA has no standalone branches. One of those services is notarization through UPS locations, which is advertised on the banner displayed in the store. At approximately 5:25 p.m. today, I walked into the UPS Store and politely asked an older employee whether they offered notary services. Before she could answer, Dean (standing behind the counter) threw his hands up and said, “We’re done, we’re not doing that anymore… it’s almost closing time and we just aren’t doing that!” His tone was passive‑aggressive, dismissive, and unprofessional, especially in front of customers and his coworkers. A simple, respectful explanation—such as “I’m sorry, sir, we stop notary services an hour before closing”—would have been completely understandable. Instead, his reaction came across as irritated and unnecessarily hostile, as if he were having a bad day and taking it out on customers. Because of the way I was spoken to, I will be taking my business to another UPS location outside of town. Professionalism matters, and the behavior I experienced from Dean today fell far below what customers should expect.

Recently I needed to send a prepaid box to Texas to retrieve my keys. Morgan worked and worked with me as to how to create the prepaid label and ship the box. Thank you Morgan for all the extra effort. Nelka Stowers

If you choose to operate under the UPS brand name, you have a responsibility to uphold the integrity and customer service standards that the brand represents. This location is failing those standards. Allowing rude and unhelpful employees to represent your business tarnishes a legacy of UPS that took years to build. During my visit today 02/1/2026, the service was unacceptable. The male employee was dismissive and unprofessional; he sat with his hand on his face, watching me get my packages together without offering a word of assistance—acting as if my presence was an inconvenience to him. Meanwhile, the female employee was huffing and visibly annoyed while handling a small package. If basic tasks are this "trying" for your staff, they are in the wrong profession. Most concerning was the inconsistency in service. While I was treated as a bother, a Caucasian woman walked in three minutes before closing with many of boxes in a shopping cart, was immediately greeted with enthusiasm and help. If this business prioritizes certain races over others, it should be made clear so people of color know to take our business elsewhere. I strongly suggest management review the security footage from today. I will not be returning, and I will be supporting owners who actually value professionalism and equality.

Second time I’ve used the services of the store and both times customer service was unacceptable. Why should you have to feel like you’re doing them a favor by using their services. First time was not greeted with a hello, thank you or goodbye. Second time same thing but did get a “have a nice weekend” and when I didn’t respond (I guess not fast enough), I heard rep say as I was leaving “or not”. I think I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
