They spoke to her with a rude, condescending attitude, as if her being deaf gave them an excuse to talk down to her. That is absolutely not okay. The deaf staff member is actually the one who assisted me, and although there was a little bit of difficulty understanding each other at first, we worked through it together just fine. She was patient, kind, and genuinely trying to help. A little compassion goes a long way, and it’s disappointing that her own coworkers didn’t show her any.

I made the mistake of not reading the instructions completely to have the item packaged. which I took accountability for. But instead of her saying this nicely, she said, “Read under the code. What does that say? Customer packaged.” In front of a store full of customers. If this location wants to stop getting bad reviews they need to do something about that employee. It’s not the customers fault that she hates her life, Job, and has no hair. I’d be mad too. But I don’t take that out on innocent people.
