If I could leave zero stars I would.
I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience at the UPS location in Palm Coast, FL today, and I feel compelled to share just how poor the customer service was.
I walked in simply to ship a package. I approached the counter, provided my shipping information, and the employee began processing everything. When she asked for my address, I clearly spelled it out. However, when I reviewed the information on the screen, I noticed it was spelled incorrectly. I politely tried to correct it, carefully pronouncing and spelling it again, only to be told by the employee that I was saying my own street name incorrectly. That level of dismissiveness was both shocking and disrespectful.
At that point, I just wanted to finish the transaction and leave, so I asked her to move forward. Throughout the entire interaction, she had a noticeable attitude and seemed uninterested in providing even basic customer service. Then, instead of resolving the situation professionally, she walked to the back and loudly stated she was not going to deal with me.
I waited, expecting a manager or someone more professional to step in and handle the situation appropriately. Eventually, a young man came to the counter. Not only did he fail to apologize for the employee’s behavior, but he didn’t even acknowledge what had just happened. He simply continued the transaction as if nothing was wrong.
At that point, it was clear that addressing the issue would go nowhere. If that individual was a supervisor or manager, it’s no surprise the employee felt comfortable acting the way she did. There is clearly a lack of accountability and customer service standards at this location.
Overall, this experience showed a complete lack of professionalism, respect, and basic customer care. I would strongly caution others before choosing to use this UPS location.
