2 years ago, a good friend warned me NOT to mail any gift cards or cash from this Post Office no matter how small. She had mailed three Xmas cards to her kids with a little money and they were all stolen. Last month (October) against my wife’s advice, I mailed a birthday card with one bill. Of course it was stolen. I should have known better. Never again.

I'll start by saying Great work! I'm absolutely compelled to write this review. Last monday I dropped off a package at this Ormond Beach postal location to be delivered to me in New Jersey. It contained clothes and some necessary duplicates of legal papers regarding the probate of my deceased father's estate. Important stuff. When I arrived home in New Jersey on Sunday, I tracked my package and discovered that it should have arrived on Friday around 3pm. It wasn't there. I live in a development that has about 96 buildings. Packages are either in the mail or at your front door. Mine was an 10 lbs. Box. I checked about a third of the homes in my complex. Then I went to the group mailbox where I found an 8oz mailer envelope with two mailing labels on it; 1 addressed to a man in Tallahassee and the second was mine ($23.15 for an 10lb box) Yup, you guessed it right. There were two mailing labels on one package. My paid postage and tracking labled were mistakenly placed on someone else's package - - on top of the one that was already there. So, my 11lb box was, prayerfully, somewhere in the Ormond Beach Post Office without postage. It did, however, have my handwritten address on it. I tried calling the direct location, but that's pretty much impossible. I contacted my local post office as well as the consumer center and put in a service request. But somehow, someone in the Ormond Beach center located my package and mailed it to me before an investigation could get underway. Excellent work!! I'm grateful to the person who had the due diligence, presence of mind and empathy to see it through. In all likelihood, it was the kind and personable woman who serviced me in the first place. We talked about my not wanting to lose my favorite raincoat. I'm grateful for her and everyone who was involved in getting my package to me quickly.

The self service is always broken and stay broken for months. Staff is polite and friendly but the lines are usually long and with no self service its not pleasant waiting. I wish they would fix the machines when they are down .
