Edit: not sure how this statement was racist, especially when I found 10+ reviews with similar experiences. Me needing to reschedule my appointment wasn’t the problem, it was Nita’s abrasive dismissive response thats a red flag 🚩 Despite being only 4 minutes late my appointment - due to the distressing news that my husband had lost his job the day before. I was met with no empathy or understanding, actually quite the opposite, Nita displayed a sense of entitled superiority. As if my brief delay had inconvenienced her, she immediately scolded me. “You should have been here 10 minutes early, like this gentleman here.” When I asked for some understanding and compassion, her response was dismissive: “I’ll finish him, and if the next person doesn’t come, I’ll help you.” Her tone suggested she was irritated by my request, and it almost seemed as though she took pleasure in my discomfort. This behavior not only lacked professionalism, but it also showed a disturbing lack of empathy. After reading local reviews, it appears I am not the only one who has encountered this, which only further suggests that this is part of a larger issue. If Nita continues to interact with the public, I believe she would greatly benefit from additional customer care training to help her develop the empathy, professionalism, and understanding that should be fundamental when working as a federal employee - public servant.

Wish I could leave zero stars. Waited weeks for a passport appointment for our 2 kids and arrived a couple minutes late due to an accident on I75. We went directly from school, walked inside and told the lady at the window who was extremely rude that we were here for our passports. She asked if we had an appointment and all our paperwork filled out, which I said yes. She asked me to go have a seat in the lobby near the passport desk and wait, which I did. About 10 minutes goes by then she tells us that we can’t do it anymore because we were a few minutes late. Why didn’t you tell me that from the beginning? And we had everything filled out already!!! You made me sit in a chair for longer than it would’ve taken to just take my paperwork. And then she called me obnoxious when I asked her why she just made me and my family wait 10 minutes to just tell me you aren’t going to take our paperwork. And now we have to reschedule for several weeks out again!!! What a complete failure on USPS!

Horrible experience - no surprise it’s the post office right? But the staff at this location are on another level of rude. Only came here for passport services. Stay away if you have other options close by. I would even drive further next time to avoid this location.
