We ship cheesecakes frozen and on dry ice good for a 3 day delivery. We brought 11 cakes to the post office on Tuesday on Wednesday we noticed that they still were not scanned as being received (no tracking) we called 3 times no answer so my wife drove down the post master said they are probably in Tampa, my wife said why were they not scanned first ? The lady said we are busy, my said what do I tell my customers. The lady said have a nice day! 62 hours later Friday 4:00 AM the packages were scanned still in the same post office never scanned or put on a truck labeled perishable with dry ice sticker on them. No one cares no apology, if they had told my wife when she was there she could have repackaged them with fresh dry ice but no she was treated like a child and dismissed. Also the post office raises the shipping prices during the holidays that’s certainly not the spirit of Christmas. This cost our small business over $1000.00 and we may have lost some corporate accounts and customers. Something needs to be done.
