The United States Postal Service main post office in Ocala is consistently a frustrating experience. The line is always out the door, no matter the time of day, and there seems to be absolutely no sense of urgency or efficiency from the staff.
On my most recent visit, I only had to come in because the USPS website refused to accept any form of payment — so what should have been a quick online transaction turned into standing in a never-ending line inside the post office.
For a main location serving a city this size, the lack of organization and operational efficiency is unacceptable. Customers shouldn’t have to block out half their day just to complete a simple transaction. There has to be a better way to manage the volume and improve the experience.
Extremely disappointing.

I wasn't home when a certified letter arrived today Saturday and being Monday is a holiday I figured it would be at least Tuesday before I can get it redelivered to me. I tried calling the usps and got a live rep, from my hometown of Brooklyn NY Robert, and he was terrific. I gave him the tracking number and he saw that the Ocala hub was already closed for the holiday but processed redelivery instructions so I'll get it Tuesday. I sold this guitar before the tariffs to a buyer in France and the usps.com gave me the best price to ship to France, amazing. USPS does a terrific job. Thank you.

Not sure what all the negatives are about, it was quick and breezy, and the lady was so kind and professional, so sweet and helpful !!! Got everything we needed done quickly, efficiently, and smoothly.
I assume the bad reviews are because people had to wait for other customers, and/or couldn't do what they wanted to do here, which is out of the Postal Office's control ! Thank you very much for the efficiency and quickness
