  I ship *only* at The UPS Store because they are so reliable. I like how Denise always says, “Thank you for shopping at our store” with a smile.

  If I could give zero stars I would. I don't ship too often, but when I do, I have always used and praised the UPS Store for its cost and convenience. Today I wanted to ship a box 30X20X8 weighing 27 lbs (approximate since my receipt does not contain any of this information) containing a cassette deck. The teller said I would have to pay to get it repacked by the store to "comply with store rules" (not an exact quote) but couldn't tell me how much that would be. I told her she was free to open and inspect the packing which was form fitted to the item as it was originally shipped from the manufacturer just in another box which fit exactly. There was no unprotected part of the shipped item, as it was secure and unmovable in the form fitted Styrofoam. I declined to pay for the repack then said I wanted to insure it for $1500 but she said I couldn't go above $900 unless I paid for the repack. She called the manager to the front when I asked for clarification and the manager seemed unconcerned about my issues and didn't answer my questions. I needed to ship this so I opted to just insure for the $900 they would allow. The total they charged was $102.43 to ship from 32566 to 33076 (within my state). Your site calculates that UPS Ground at most should cost $45, and the additional insurance cost me $32. That does not add up to $102.43. If there is a process to file a formal complaint against this store I wish to do so. I was not treated as a valued customer and felt I was an annoyance to them. I treated them with respect even though I was not happy. This experience has soured my opinion of ever using the UPS Store again and at this point I can no longer tell others it is a good value.   Stopped in the Navarre Beach UPS store. The clerk was horribly rude. The bar code on the Amazon return had a scan issue. She got a little crappy about that like I was wasting her time. She said your bar code is a mess, I said I’m sorry I didn’t print it. She said well take that back to who printed it then and turned around and walked away, no offer of any other help, do you have the label in you phone we could print it, there would be an associated cost…. Nothing. But there’s always someone up the ladder to discuss bad service with.
