I actually drove past another UPS Store to get to this one because the people at this store, #2222, are always so willing to do whatever they can to help make packing and shipping as easy as possible! Thank you to Tony who answered the phone today and gave me additional information I needed. Also, another shout out to Shawn, who typically is the one helping me and is always great at helping me get things shipped in the quickest most efficient way possible! Best UPS Store to use in the Destin/Miramar Beach area!
- RRRalphFLADec 2, 20254.0This UPS store is in a small shopping center on Highway 98. I often go here to mail packages. Shipping is not inexpensive. The advantage of the UPS store is that they will package an item in a box, if necessary, and send it on its way. They do this for a fee, of course, but it is often quick and easy so the customer is paying for the convenience. At Christmas, there is likely to be a line. I went to this store this week, early in the Christmas season, and was waited on right away. Those who wait too long will find a line and have to wait in that line. Or, they can go to the Post Office where there is often a longer line and the employees may not be as helpful or as friendly. Neither UPS or Post Office shipments are inexpensive anymore. The UPS store also rents mail boxes. I used this store for that purpose for a couple of years. It usually worked well and, if I was out of town, I could easily call and have the mail in the box shipped to me at my location. Unfortunately, I found that the Post Office sometimes did not reliably deliver mail here. Whether that was for inexplicable reasons or USPS did not like working with a competitor that rented boxes, I do not know. I canceled my box as a result of this and also after getting a notice that the USPS was now requiring indentification of various specific kinds to rent a box at a UPS store. Their scheme worked, if that is what it was, as I canceled the box after a couple of important pieces of mail did not arrive.
