This is the nearest USPS to my home. We go to this location every day to scan packages at the self-service kiosk in order to ship orders for my business. I usually bring around 40 to 50 packages per day. Today, April 25 (Saturday), while I was scanning packages at the self-service kiosk, a lady wearing a red vest told me that I cannot place the packages in the small drop windows (even though they are small packages in bubble mailers). This is unacceptable. If I go to the counter with 50 packages, the other employees make uncomfortable faces. However, when I scan the packages myself, the manager has said that we are allowed to place them in the drop windows—so what is happening here? There is no consistency. They also have the large drop window closed and have never fixed it. In addition, the kiosk machines often freeze, forcing you to start over multiple times. The community should not have to accept this situation. The blond lady there consistently has a bad attitude. USPS corporate should read the reviews for this location and will see repeated complaints about the same employees, including the lady with the red vest and the older employee. This is unacceptable.

This so-called Post Office is no doubt the worst! There has never been a time in the past 15 years when the wait was less than an hour. And there has never been a time when the employees were helpful, friendly, or knowledgeable. Dora, Betty, and the elderly man would not have jobs in any other line of work. In my last 3 visits, this location was closed, even though I went there during their operation hours. All 3 times, Felix told the customers that the employees were tired and wanted to leave early, so they were closing. How is this acceptable? On my recent visit, I waited in line for 2.5 hours. When I got to the counter, the postal machine for processing a Priority letter broke - and the only employee working was unable to fix it. Felix blamed a Director by the name of Tony for all of the troubles at this location. He claimed that Tony allowed all of the employees to take vacation at the same time and left him with broken equipment. Another customer in front of me, who also waited 2.5 hours, was told to leave because they were out of Express labels! Seriously! Again, Felix told everyone waiting that the Region Director, Tony, was to blame. So in my last 4 visits I have had to drive an hour in traffic to another location after visiting this location, just to mail a Priority envelope. To make matters worse, each of those 4 carefully typed and packaged envelopes got “lost” and arrived at their destinations 2 weeks later! To make matters even worse, this location also discriminates against English speakers. Betty told me that Americans and English speakers need to go to another location because they are not welcome at this SW 147th Ave location! I don’t know how she has a job!

One of the employees was extremely rude and made everything harder than it needed to be. She was dismissive, unhelpful, and gave both English and Spanish speakers a hard time. It wasn’t about language, it was her attitude and unwillingness to help or find solutions. Besides the fact that she was saying “can you speak English” to everyone who approached her. Thankfully, Betty stepped in and completely changed my experience. She was AMAZING super helpful, patient, and actually cared about resolving my issue. I honestly feel bad she has to work in that kind of environment. Management needs to address this. One bad employee can ruin the entire experience, but employees like Betty are the reason people come back.

I had a very frustrating experience at the United States Postal Service located at 14790 N Kendall Dr, Miami, FL 33196 on the week of March 22. I arrived at 4:20 PM and there were already about 20 people in line. At around 4:35 PM, an employee loudly announced that she would only serve customers up to the person directly in front of me—even though the store doesn’t close until 5:30 PM. I, along with two others, decided to stay and wait in case they could still help us before closing time. By 5:10 PM, they finished serving the person ahead of me and then refused to assist anyone else. The same employee repeatedly and loudly stated—multiple times—that no more customers would be served, in a very disrespectful tone. What made the situation worse was that she stopped assisting customers before 5 PM and went back into the office, leaving another employee alone to handle the remaining customers. This was extremely unprofessional, poorly managed, and disrespectful to customers who were already in line well before closing time. Very disappointing experience.

Today I went during my work break to this Office, needed to drop off a package and the line was long passing the exit door. I spent 40 minutes doing the line, and 8 minutes being next in front of the counters, only 2 agents operating upfront, I understand there is a rotation for their breaks or tasks, but 8 minutes waiting first, with 10 mins left on clock to go back to my work, I went ahead and asked them to please assist me, I had 1 Box with a Prepaid Taped already label, and it only takes 1 minute to get me set. The lady told me to go to the machines which were not printing the receipt, I asked kindly 1 more time to help me, and I received no assistance. Takes time to understand that we can all have a bad day, but to offer customer service with empathy should not be hard, because I did have a bad day too and I smile to people, because I do want my job. I would really suggest to have more team members to assist. Elder and most people won’t know how to use the self service machines unless there is clear instructions, also make sure you machines have receipts, you are leaving people without proof of what they just sent, and employees won’t cooperate, I don’t care how busy it is, with more reason I was next in line and received poor attention. Clients that walk in to ask questions, there is a line of people that have waited way too long like for the employees to spend 3-5 mins talking to the people with questions. That customer service needs to be clean. Me as a manager, I would have this location killing it, keeping things smooth and keeping the client content. I ended up leaving to be on time for my work, after spending my Lunch break standing at the office.
