I was trying to mail my tax documents and arrived 5 minutes to closing time to this Post Office 500 NW 2nd Ave Downtown Miami. After taking my place in the line I asked for the certify labels to save time at the counter. The Supervisor response with actitud and not a nice face: I’ll give it to you but hurry up and see if you have enough time because we are closing in two minutes and the truck is leaving soon. She gave me one label when I asked for more… not sure what she said to the associate in the register next to her but pretty sure it was about me and not anything nice. Then went straight to the sliding metal doors and almost closed them completely. I left because I can’t afford to lose my documents, I don’t trust them. With such customer service manners… not sure if they will process all correct. What a shame and that was the Supervisor :( Not the image I have of the Post Offices or their employees. Most of them are reliable and professional; this is why this situation took me by surprise. My taxes will arrive to the IRS one day later than what I wanted but at least I know they will be processed by nice and professional postal employees and will make the destination.

I had a terrible experience here. It's the first time I complain about a USPS. Clerk 24, this younger woman behind the counter who seemed very angry, rang me up for a simple small mailer that weighed 3.5 ounces going to Washington D.C. She charged me $14.54 after I asked for the cheapest possibility. The value of what I was sending was only $10 so I thought it was ridiculous to pay so much. I believe that she charged me for insurance and something else to bring it up to that total. She pressured me to pay quickly, and then when I returned with the receipt to ask about the extra charges, she told me that she would give me $5 out of her own pocket to get me to stop complaining and then made fun of me in front of the customer she was helping. I believe I got duped for sure and I couldn't believe that this woman would treat someone like that. When I asked ChatGPT how much I should've paid, it said about $5 plus $2 for the mailing bubble envelope so essentially I paid double. I'm never coming to this USPS again.

EDIT: Package was delivered without ever being scanned. I put my shipment in the drop slot at this post office January 21 because I did not have time to wait in line. It's been a week and the shipment is yet to be scanned. Went back to inquire and was told that things go straight to "the plant," where the origin scan is supposed to occur. Can't trust USPS if you don't stand in line and get a receipt? In all likelihood I will have to refund the buyer because USPS lost a package that I dropped off at this post office.

This place is garbage ... they lost my third package already 🙃 The last one came from overseas, arrived to this location and was marked as "Addressee Unknown". I came to the office the same day, where staff was very rude, did not help at all and replied to all my questions with "Go and create Mail Search Request online" ... which I created the same day. After 10 days, package status changed to "Arrived at USPS Regional Facility", so I called customer support where they said that package already went through customs and going to be sent back to the sender and they cannot do anything about it 🙄 Also they said that instead of asking me to create "Mail Search Request" staff at the office should have just handed package to me 🤡. Currently my package is in Europe ... so instead of just helping me to get the package they flew it over the ocean on a plane back to Europe ... I guess climate change is not an issue anymore 🙄

They lost my package. I ended up losing money if I could give negative stars and report them to the police I would. Surprised they haven’t gotten a lawsuit yet with these terrible reviews. It’s my mistake for going to a place like that with 1 star review. Close this place down.
