- JKJosh KingsleyJan 2, 20261.0A Miami-based technician I work with needed to ship a critical part to a client in Michigan next day air for Saturday delivery. He showed up at this location to ship the package using my UPS business account, which is authorized for 3rd party shipping. This store refused to use my account and told the tech "you can't do that anymore" which is complete lie. The tech then called me and handed the phone to the UPS Store employee who repeated the lie directly to me that I am not allowed to use my business account. So instead of the freight costing $190 as it would have using my account, they gouged my tech for $522 for the exact same level of service. I am suspending all business with UPS until I speak with either the franchise owner or someone at UPS corporate, and then I will decide if I want to continue using UPS at all moving forward. I understand most UPS Stores are franchises and want every sale to be at a premium retail price point, but to take advantage of the technician using an impending shipping cutoff deadline and outright lying is totally unacceptable.
