I’m not sure if corporate is seeing these reviews or if they’re being ignored, but the employee named “Jay” is clearly a consistent issue and should not be in a customer-facing role. He is rude, provides no customer service, shows no sense of urgency, and appears to genuinely not care. When I arrived at the register, I said “hello” and received no response. After completing my Amazon return, I said “thank you,” and again received no response. This is not based on a single encounter—this happens every time I visit this location, and clearly hundreds of customers in the reviews have had similar horrible experiences. The return line at his register is always extremely long, often wrapping around the store, because he is the only person handling returns, phone calls, cashier duties, and customer service all at once. This setup clearly isn’t working. I don’t know how many negative reviews it will take for this issue to be addressed, unless customer feedback simply doesn’t matter. There are already very few Staples locations in South Florida, and this is the experience customers are left with.

Go to Office Depot instead. Service here is non-existent. There’s one person handling customer service/order returns and checkouts. I waited at checkout for someone to finally check me out while others just left. I don’t blame them. No one greets you or acknowledges your presence. I have no idea how they’re still in business. The customer experience is very off putting and I recommend going somewhere else. Staples has lost a customer unfortunately. I’m not sure if they’re struggling to find good employees or if they just aren’t training them but it’s very bizarre to engage with their staff members.

Jay is horrible. Extremely slow and incompetent. Why he is allowed to work here im not sure. No sense of urgency, no idea how to handle the amazon counter and register simultaneously. Staples, DO BETTER

Maybe Emily didnt want to work to day. I went for a amazon return, it was only her and i at the counter. I greeted her with a "how you doing?" To be polite.... the girl didnt acknowledge or speak...just there with her angry face.

My husband and I went to this location around 6pm today. Online says that the store closes at 7pm. When we got to the store, the manager and employee were closing the store. They were very condescending and rude. They were not nice. There was no reason to be so mean. The way that they treated us was unacceptable. I have been to this location many times. They don't have a lot of customers. So congratulations, they just lost 2 more customers. I will be shopping at Office Depot for my office needs from now on. I would advise others to do the same.
