"The Lake Placid USPS is tucked away between some trees, which makes it a bit tricky to find at first, but once you've got your GPS guiding you, it's a breeze to get in and out. The convenience of short lines is definitely a plus, even if the service can be a bit on the slower side. Overall, it’s a charming, small-town experience with a few quirks!" Let me know if that sounds good!

Two women staffers decided to become defensive, then offensive, regarding info they did not have----------namely, the final four digits of our local zip code. Both behaved like overgrown third graders, taking turns making faces at me, hurling insults, gossiping with other customers about me. Guess only government-affiliated employment shelters them from gross misconduct on the job. They claimed I didn't 'need' the final four digits of our zip code, despite the fact that the IRS mailing address contained one. Moreover, it's not within their job description to dictate to a paying customer their needs. Is it? Interestingly, the first question posed during the USPS phone survey was a request to provide all 9 zip code digits in order to continue. Staffers claiming ignorance of this basic USPS info is astounding. So what if you're a floating staffer, spending time in 5 different locations? Stick a post-it at your workstation with each relevant 4-digit zip code ending in each work location. Difficult? I think not. Abusing a customer verbally by stating "I don't know it" (don't forget the ludicrous facial expression, "Do you know it?"" "He sure doesn't know it." This latter statement referred to the lone male behind the counter, a thoroughly informative and professional employee in my presence. So, it was likewise necessary to hurl an undeserved insult in their co-worker's direction(I finished my USPS business with him, thankfully), apparently. Never satiated with insult-heaving, I guess. Altogether disgusting. One of the women provided her name; I should include it in this review, but stooping to her level of behavior isn't acceptable, now is it???
